TestersPool Privacy Policy
TestersPool is published by Innovesty (“we”).
What this policy covers
TestersPool is an app where Android developers lend each other testers for the closed test Google Play asks new developer accounts to run. You can test other people's apps to earn credits and use credits to list your own app. This page explains what the app keeps on your phone, what it sends to our servers, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to the app and to nothing outside it.
What we collect when you sign up
Your name, your email address and a password. We store the password only as a one-way hash, never as plain text. If you add your Google Play email in Profile, we keep that too: it is the Google account we add to the tester group so you can join closed tests.
If you list an app
The app name, package name, the closed-test link if you add one, and the short note you write for testers. Testers see these, together with your name.
If you test an app
We keep which apps you joined, whether you confirmed the install, the days you sent a screenshot, and the screenshots themselves. The app only reads the picture you choose from your photo library when you pick it; it does not browse your photos. A screenshot shows whatever was on your screen, so show only the app you are testing.
Credits, ads and purchases
We keep your credit balance and a short history of what changed it (for example "Watched an ad", "Listed an app", "Finished testing an app"). If you buy credits, Google Play takes the payment and we receive only the product you bought, the purchase token Google gives us and the time, which we use to check the purchase with Google and credit it once. We never see your card or payment details.
What your phone sends
Every request carries a random install ID the app makes the first time it runs, your phone's platform (Android) and the app version. We keep them against your account so we can spot several accounts on one install and fix problems. The install ID is not your advertising ID. Like any server, ours receives your IP address with each request, and our hosting provider (Google Cloud) may keep it in short-lived technical logs.
Who can see what
A developer sees the testers of their app only as "Tester 1", "Tester 2" and so on, with the daily screenshots those testers sent. Developers never see a tester's name or email address. A tester sees the app name, package name, note, test link and the name of the developer who listed it, but not their email. Screenshots are shown through short-lived private links, not public pages. We, the people who run TestersPool, can see every account, app, test and screenshot in our dashboard.
The tester group
To let you install a closed test without giving the developer your email, we add your Google Play email to a Google Group that we run, and developers add that one group to their closed test. Google Groups is run by Google and handles the group under Google's own privacy policy. We set the group so that members cannot see each other. Your email stays in the group until we remove it.
Ads
The only ads are optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob, shown when you choose to watch one, and the reward is credits. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and other device and usage data, under Google's advertising policies; that information goes to Google directly and we do not receive it. When you watch an ad, AdMob tells our server that your account earned the reward. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalization, in your phone's Settings, under Privacy, then Ads. The ads are not aimed at children.
How we use it
To run the app: to sign you in, match testers with apps, add testers to the tester group, show each developer how the 14 days went, pay credits, check purchases and ads, and answer questions. Also to keep the app fair and safe: to stop fake or reused screenshots, duplicate accounts and abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with services that help run the app (Google Cloud for hosting, Google Groups for the tester group, Google Play for purchases and Google AdMob for ads), when the law requires it, and when needed to prevent fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, apps, tests, screenshots and credit history until you delete your account. After that they are deleted, except what is described under "Deleting your account". Technical logs kept by our hosting provider expire on their own.
Security
Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as hashes and sign-in tokens expire. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you use nowhere else.
Your choices
You can change your name and Google Play email and change your password in Profile, refuse to pick a screenshot, leave a test at any time, and delete your account whenever you like. To ask what we hold about you, or about anything else to do with your data, write to info@innovesty.com.
Deleting your account
Delete account in Profile (you confirm with your password) deletes your account, your listed apps, your tests, your screenshots and your credit history from our server, and removes your name from what other people can see. Credits you earned or bought are lost and cannot be restored. Two things stay: your Google Play email is removed from the tester group by us afterwards, which can take a few days, and we keep a record of each purchase (the product, the credits, the time and Google's purchase token, without your name) so a purchase can never be credited twice and for our accounts. Deleting cannot be undone. If you cannot use the app, write to info@innovesty.com and we will delete your account.
Children
TestersPool is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it, and it is not directed at children. If you think a child has made an account, write to info@innovesty.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
